What is IMAP?

IMAP and POP are two email protocols that you can use to access your emails. When you need to access your emails from several devices, such as your phone, laptop, or tablet, IMAP is the best option.

Furthermore, IMAP is a sophisticated protocol that allows you to access your email from any device, no matter where you are. Furthermore, when you use IMAP to access and view an email message, you’re accessing it directly from the email server rather than downloading or saving it on your computer.

IMAP only downloads an email when you click on it; attachments are not downloaded automatically. As a result, you can check your mails more quickly than with POP.
