How to Download/Access old Mails
Post Office Protocol allows you to access your old emails (POP). This post will show you how to use Outlook and Gmail POP to download or access old emails.
Download/Access older messages via Outlook
You can access your old mails (on the old hosting server) via Outlook, by using the following settings:
Mailbox Username:
Mailbox Password:
Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server:
After that, the outgoing server – TICK – My Outgoing requires authentication, uses the same setting as for My Incoming mail server.
Incoming Server (POP3) Port: 110
Outgoing Server (SMTP) Port: 26
Download/Access older messages via Gmail
Gmail includes certain POP3 features that give you more control over what Outlook downloads (or any other mail client). To download and receive all of your messages from your Gmail account, you must first enable POP for all mail.
Enable POP for all mail
These options can be found in the Forwarding and POP/IMAP section of Gmail.
- To begin, select Mail settings from the gear icon in the upper right corner next to your name.
- Select Forwarding and POP/IMAP from the drop-down menus.
- Enable the following option: POP should be enabled for all mail (including mail that has already been downloaded).
